Scarborough Secondary School is setting its sights on becoming a fully digital campus, cementing its reputation as a trailblazer in education. The ambitious plan includes digitizing all administrative processes, expanding e-learning platforms, and integrating cutting-edge technologies like virtual reality (VR) and blockchain.

The first phase, already underway, involves equipping classrooms with smartboards and transitioning to a paperless system using the MySchool app. Future phases include VR labs for immersive learning experiences and blockchain for secure student record-keeping.

“We’re not just investing in technology; we’re investing in our students’ futures,” says Principal Nigel Jack. “A fully digital campus will prepare them for a world that is increasingly digital.”

The initiative aligns with Tobago’s broader push for digital transformation in education. THA Secretary of Education, Zorisha Hackett, commends the school: “Scarborough Secondary is leading by example. Their efforts are an inspiration for schools across the region.”
